Overheated Mediterranean Sea: what consequences if these abnormal temperatures persist?

After a scorching summer and a particularly hot month of October, the waters of the Mediterranean continue to be strongly affected by


“The anomaly” becomes usual: October is the ninth consecutive month with a “positive anomaly”, that is to say temperatures above average, Météo France alert on Tuesday.

Records were broken in France (as in Spain), with an average temperature of 17.5°C, 3.5°C above normal.

October 2001 held the previous record with an average temperature of 16.3°C.
