The member of the Migos group was shot dead on Tuesday, November 1, while attending a party in the city of Houston, Texas.

The young American rapper TakeOff, member of the hip-hop group Migos, was shot and killed Tuesday morning in a bowling club in Houston, Texas, at the age of 28, reported the media TMZ.

Kirshnik Khari Ball, his real name, was spending the evening with Quavo, one of his band members, when around 2:30 a.m. police were called to a shooting at a bowling club, with one person dead, according to TMZ.

“Many shots were fired and TakeOff died,” confirms Jonathan Limehouse of the Houston Chronicle media, which we were able to reach.

The journalist specifies “that it was late at night” and that the rappers participated in “an after party in this bowling alley”.

TMZ reported on an "altercation" that allegedly broke out at the club and reported that "someone allegedly opened fire", in a state of Texas that is extremely lax in terms of carrying weapons.

Born on June 18, 1994 in Georgia, TakeOff was known to be part of the rap group Migos with his uncle Quavo and his cousin Offset, who left them and is now married to American rapper Cardi B.

News of his violent death was widely commented on social media, Twitter and Instagram, with New York Democratic Congressman Jamaal Bowman saying he was "tired of seeing young black men die".

"People spontaneously went to downtown Houston to pay tribute" to the late young rapper, according to journalist Jonathan Limehouse.
