“As of November, I will open consultations with the social partners (…) to, based on economic data, revise this list, ensure that the professions which are not in tension are not in this list (…) and that the trades which have become trades in tension can integrate it”, declared Olivier Dussopt on Franceinfo.

“There is already a list of shortage occupations.

This list, which corresponds to about thirty professions, sectors, is fixed by decree.

The government on Wednesday unveiled the main lines of its immigration bill, which it praised for the "balance" between tougher expulsions and an outstretched hand for immigrant workers.

Olivier Dussopt pleaded in particular for a “job in tension” residence permit, in order to recruit in sectors with a labor shortage.

"It concerns between a few thousand and a few tens of thousands of people," said the minister.

“This is not a massive regularization plan”.

The unveiling of this bill has triggered the anger of some opponents, such as Marine Le Pen, who denounced a risk of "aggravation" of illegal immigration networks.

“It is a question of considering the regularization of a certain number of illegal immigrants who are used by bosses who themselves should find themselves before the criminal court to employ people who are undocumented”, reacted the leader. of the National Rally.

What else to remember

  • Justine Vayrac: the funeral scheduled for Friday.

The village of Tauriac, in the Lot, will honor Friday the memory of Justine, killed on the night of October 22 after having disappeared near a nightclub in Brive, in Corrèze.

An autopsy revealed that she had been strangled.

A 21-year-old farmer, imprisoned and prosecuted for rape, kidnapping and murder, confessed at the end of his police custody "to have killed the victim".

  • Goncourt and Renaudot prizes expected.

At lunchtime, the Académie Goncourt will announce its choice between Brigitte Giraud, Giuliano da Empoli, Cloé Korman and Makenzy Orcel for this prestigious literary prize.

As tradition dictates, the Renaudot prize will be awarded just after the Goncourt, in the same restaurant in the Opéra district in Paris.

  • French Academy: duel between Beigbeder and Duteurtre.

The writers Frédéric Beigbeder and Benoît Duteurtre will compete this afternoon in an uncertain election at the French Academy to win seat 19, previously occupied by the writer Jean-Loup Dabadie, but also Boileau, Chateaubriand, Paul Deschanel or Rene Clair.

  • Controversy for PSG.

“It was irrational,” reacted coach Christophe Galtier on Wednesday evening, denouncing the unequal treatment in the management of stoppage time between PSG and Benfica Lisbon.

Despite winning at Juventus Turin on Wednesday, PSG were overtaken by Benfica for first place in their Champions League group, with the two teams tied.

The latter was able to take first place thanks to a criterion of the UEFA regulations, and, above all, an outside goal scored during additional time to which PSG was not entitled in its own match against Maccabi Haifa.

For example, out of 42 trains scheduled on time, we sometimes do not produce only 36… As a result, the interval between the trains is longer”, he testifies.
