Action of the latest generation environmentalists at the Van Gogh exhibition in Rome.

Some militants of the ecological movement have smeared the work "Il Sematore" exhibited at Palazzo Bonaparte with a vegetable past.

The painting is exhibited as part of the exhibition dedicated to the artist that houses the works of the Kröller-Müller Museum in Otterlo and is protected by glass.

Immediately after the action of the activists, the security intervened and immediately closed the rooms of the exhibition, removing visitors.

Activists, after throwing the vegetable soup on the work, stuck to the wall and shouted slogans against the use of coal and on climate change.

The action was carried out by four exponents of the Last Generation environmental movement, the Italian offshoot of Extinction Rebellion which has already carried out protests of this type in some museums abroad.
