Changes in November 2022: Extension of the deadline for filing tax returns

The tax return for 2021 was originally due by July 31, 2022 and had to be submitted to the tax office.

However, this changed due to the corona virus.

Due to the corona virus, the legislator also implemented an extension of the deadline with the "Fourth Tax Assistance Act".

Now the deadline is October 31, 2022.

However, October 31, 2022 is a public holiday in some federal states.

Because of this, local people have an extra day to file their tax returns.

However, it must be submitted to the tax office by November 1, 2022 at the latest.

Reformation Day on October 31 is a public holiday in the following federal states: Brandenburg, Bremen, Hamburg, Lower Saxony, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Schleswig-Holstein and Thuringia.

November 2022: PayPal suspends popular feature

However, Internet shopping enthusiasts must also brace themselves for bad news in November: online payment service provider PayPal will be suspending one of its most popular functions.

The American company is currently still offering to cover the costs of returning packages.

The offer is valid under the condition that the goods were paid for via PayPal and that the shipping is not already taken over by the shop where the purchase was made.

PayPal will, for a short time, cover up to 25 euros per order.

New in November: ARD shortens the channel list

ARD had already discontinued the SD distribution of the channel "ARD alpha" via satellite and cable last year.

Four more programs in SD quality will follow in November.
