A year after her recovery, Charlene of Monaco flew to New York to pay tribute to her late mother-in-law, actress Grace Kelly, forty years after her disappearance on September 14, 1982. An original creation, to say the least, with a “grandmother’s curtain” effect, which she had accessorized with the “La vie en rose” necklace by Franco-German jeweler Lorenz Bäumer.

A pink diamond never worn
This jewel has the particularity of presenting in its center the Grace diamond: a rare pink diamond extracted in the Argyle mine, in Australia, which had never been worn until now.

Following which, the necklace will be sold at auction, and the diamond mounted on another jewel.

And it is therefore visibly complicit that she and Albert II awarded the Princess Grace Awards to twenty-four young winners from the world of art (cinema, music, dance, etc.).
Eighteen of them received a scholarship of 10,000 dollars and six others received an honorary prize of 1,000 dollars.
The purpose of the Princess Grace Awards is to support the careers of promising artists, as Princess Grace Kelly did.

in June, Albert of Monaco said he was "hurt by the malicious rumors that have been peddled" about his wife's absence for ten months, explaining that it was the "most beautiful thing which is to have him by his side again.
