Last Thursday at midnight, the registration for the third lottery of "Discount Apartment" ended.
In total, about 57,000 households registered for the lottery - which will compete for the 3,300 apartments issued in 11 settlements across the country, including: Jerusalem, Beer Sheva, Lod, Nof HaGalil, Ofakim, Tiberias, Afula and more.
The results of the lottery will be announced in the coming weeks.
After technical tests that will be carried out in the coming days by the Ministry of Construction and Housing, the lottery procedure will begin, which will be conducted according to strict and meticulous procedures, in a computerized system, without human contact, under the management of a committee and under the supervision of a qualified CPA. The results are calculated in a closed lottery room, in the presence of the lottery committee. The supervisor checks and signs the results of the lottery.
The "Discount Apartment" project is an initiative of the Israeli government whose purpose is to meet the great demand among the public who do not own an apartment. The winners will receive a discount of up to one million shekels per apartment.
The next lottery is expected to open for registration during the month of December, in which approximately 9,00 additional housing units are expected to be drawn.
Starting today (6/11) the registration for issuing a certificate of eligibility for the next lottery will be reopened.
