A young man has been arrested after a deadly attack on a pregnant woman in Denmark.
The 24-year-old suspect is accused of attacking and killing the 37-year-old in Holbæk with a knife.
The pregnant woman was attacked late Thursday evening in the small town about 50 kilometers west of Copenhagen after she had finished work in a nursing home.
The perpetrator pulled her out of her car and stabbed her several times.
She was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The woman was seven months pregnant, according to Danish news channel TV2.
Her unborn child - a boy - was rescued and survived the attack.
The suspect was arrested on Monday morning, said the responsible Danish police department.
He is accused of killing the 37-year-old.
He is now being interrogated, and on Tuesday a court will decide whether he will be taken into custody.
The police have not yet wanted to comment on the motive and other background to the crime.
It is also unclear whether the perpetrator and the victim knew each other.
Police say both are Afghan nationals.
As Danish media reports, the police are currently looking for two male witnesses who were seen on the night of the crime.
These are apparently burglars, since tools were found near the crime scene that suggest a break-in.
The men are now asked to report.
Your actions will not be prosecuted.
