(ANSA) - NAPLES, NOVEMBER 15 - It's called 'La Matta Pizzeria': here, the pizzas taken out of the oven will have a very particular flavour.

Definitely good and within the canons of the typical Neapolitan product, but also because they will be kneaded and baked by young people from a difficult district, in the northern area of Naples, often considered a non-place, on the border between Scampia, the Gomorrah district, and the neighboring municipality of Melito.

Young people with mental disabilities will also be able to learn the anti-craft of pizza chef.

In short, an initiative that wants to break down barriers: those of the social stigma that affects those who live in a suburban neighborhood and are 'condemned' regardless and those who, due to their disability, find it difficult to find a job opportunity in the South.

That of the social pizzeria is the latest idea to come up with the editor Rosario Esposito La Rossa, creator of the Scugnizzeria di Melito/Scampia, a multipurpose center in the northern area of Naples, which will also host creative workshops for the children of the neighborhood.

The premises, 50 square meters of Prima Casa Park, where the Scugnizzeria is located, a former cannabis warehouse, were purchased by two booksellers from Alba, in the Cuneo area, and given to the border publisher, awarded the title of Knight of the Order of Merit of the Republic in 2016.

The redevelopment of the spaces, for an economic value of 100 thousand euros, will be carried out by 'Facile Ristrutturare' engaged in a complex social responsibility project "FacileSognare" which, after Milan and Rome, arrives in Naples.

A homecoming for the co-founder of the company, Giovanni Amato, born and raised in Scampia.

"I experienced the bad feeling of not having a future on my skin - he said - With this project we intend to offer an opportunity to the young people of this suburb".

For his partner, Loris Cherubini, "it is a concrete way to lend a hand by implementing what we know how to do: restructuring".
