(ANSA) - ROME, NOVEMBER 19 - The thirty-seventh edition of Romaeuropa.

Launched on 8 September, the festival presided over by Guido Fabiani with the General and Artistic Direction of Fabrizio Grifasi, has proposed over 79 projects for 173 performances in more than two months of programming, totaling over 40,000 total admissions for a collection of over 700 thousand euros.

"We are very happy with these results which bring us back to a normal situation after two years of limitations due to the pandemic crisis - says Fabrizio Grifasi -. We have successfully kept our promise to bring to the public shows that would hardly be seen in Rome as demonstrated by the "Operada Tre Soldi" presented by the historic company of the BerlinerEnsemble directed by Barrie Kosky, one of the most important international opera directors".

Guido Fabiani continues: "We asked ourselves how to imagine a possible future built on dialogue and cultural confrontation in clear and determined opposition to all forms of war, aggression, atrocities in Europe and everywhere in the world, claiming human centrality with its uniqueness in knowing how to create and imagine. A challenge won not only through the shows presented but also through signs of concrete action such as the first collaboration with UNHCR or the REFEco Friendly project".

Last appointment with the Romaeuropa Festival 2022 tomorrow starting from 5 pm in the Sala Santa Cecilia of the Auditorium Parco della Musica where the ICTUS ensemble together with CollegiumVocale Gent and the folk music icon Suzanne Vega will perform Philip Glass's masterpiece Einstein on the Beach in musical form .

Two hundred minutes of happenings during which the doors of the room will remain open allowing the public to enter and leave freely and to design their own personal listening time and space.

(HANDLE).
