Christmas is coming, and it's time to prepare for the Bidens.

American First Lady Jill Biden hosted the traditional Christmas tree at the White House on Monday, November 21.

At a height of nearly 6 meters, it will take place, as every year, in the blue room of the presidential residence, where it will be decorated for the holidays.

Doctor Biden posed with the massive tree, a Concolor fir brought in by a carriage drawn by two Clydesdale horses.

The tree, planted 20 years ago, comes from the Evergreen Acres Christmas Tree Farm in the city of Auburn, Pennsylvania.

This farm had already provided a tree to the White House, under President Clinton in the year 2000.

For the occasion, the First Lady held the hand of a special guest: her 2-year-old grandson, who wanted to stroke the horses.

“He wanted to come out and see the tree,” she commented.

Beau Biden is the son of Hunter Biden and Melissa Cohen.

The young boy is named after Hunter's late brother (and eldest son of President Joe Biden), a former military veteran who died in 2015 of brain cancer at the age of 46.

Beau is the youngest of the president's grandchildren of five: 28-year-old Naomi, 22-year-old Finnegan, 21-year-old Maisy, 18-year-old Natalie and 16-year-old Robert Hunter Biden II, and Beau.

According to the White House Historical Association, Christmas trees have been present in the White House since the administration of Benjamin Harrison in 1889. President William Howard Taft's children first placed a tree in the Blue Room in 1912. The custom has continued over the years.

Each year, the chandelier in the Blue Room is removed to accommodate the full height of the Christmas tree.

The first lady posed for photos in front of the Christmas tree with the Shealer family, owners of the farm where the tree came from.

“I think it will fill the room,” Paul Shealer told her, to which Jill Biden replied, “It will fill our hearts, for sure.”
