The number of registered Ukrainian students at German schools has risen to more than 200,000.
According to the Conference of Ministers of Education (KMK), the federal states reported last week that a total of 200,754 children and young people from Ukraine had been admitted to the schools.
Compared to the previous week, the number increased by 1820.
The number of pupils given by the KMK refers to schools with general education and vocational schools.
With almost 34,000 children and young people from the Ukraine, most of the war refugees are in North Rhine-Westphalia, followed by Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg.
Admission poses major challenges to the already overburdened school system in many places.
The biggest change compared to the previous week was in Lower Saxony.
Over 800 new students were admitted here, followed by NRW and Bremen.
