The CEO of Enav, Paolo Simioni, a guest of ANSA Incontra, is optimistic about the future of the sector

A future that Enav has tried to outline in the new strategic plan, Future Sky 2031, "whose fundamental pillars are the improvement of the technical-operating model through which we deliver the service and technological innovation".

An example are the remote towers, digital towers to manage an airport more efficiently without the need to be present in the control tower.

The system works through the vision of 13 HD screens which receive visual information from cameras, also in high definition, and report the situation that the controller would see from the control tower.

The work on the sustainability front falls within the same vein, which will lead ENAV to be a carbon neutral company by the end of 2022, with a 70% reduction in emissions.
