(ANSA) - NEW YORK, NOVEMBER 30 - The time to moderate the speed of interest rate hikes could already be in December.
This was stated by Fed Chairman Jerome Powell speaking at the Brookings Institution.
But he warns that inflation remains too high and the Fed may have to maintain tight monetary policy for some time.
Powell underlines that there is still a long way to go to bring inflation down but "there is no doubt that we have made substantial progress".
