A dog was found in the middle of the Philadelphia train tracks.

The train must have caught him, paralyzed, he waited two days for rescue.

"This is pure evil," says a worker at

Philly Rescue Angels

, a Pennsylvania nonprofit that cares for abandoned animals.

At the end of November, they find a pit bull mix in the middle of the train tracks that is unable to move.

They suspect that he was abandoned there because his collar and leash are in the immediate vicinity.

"Someone literally threw this poor dog on the train tracks and has been lying here for two days," they suspect and share the dramatic fate on TikTok.

They give him the name Lucky and immediately take him to the nearest animal hospital.

There, doctors determine that his spinal cord has been severed and believe the injury was caused by the train impact.

In a lengthy and complex operation, two plates were inserted along his spine.

Lucky recovered well from this.

A few days later, the doctors happily announce that he is doing very well considering the circumstances.

"He has a big appetite and can move around a bit with the help of a special harness,"

Philly Rescue Angels

staff wrote in an update.

If he continues to recover so well, he will soon be able to move into a loving foster family.

Lucky will probably forever need extensive care and attention.

The animal protection organization wants to continue to post regular updates from their little protégé and would like to thank all their supporters.
