Jacques Dutronc has just said “
stop
” to the triumphant tour he was bringing to life with his son Thomas.
"
It stops because my father prefers to stop now
" has just launched on RTL in the laconic way of the author of these days Thomas Dutronc, explaining immediately after his decision with this slightly mysterious sentence: "
It's his kind not to do too much, he prefers to be rare (...) We have the impression, we, to stop in the middle of the tour
"
The two men will therefore have sung for the last time on Wednesday, December 21, for the winter solstice at Paris-Bercy.
A press release sent by the press service of the record company, entitled “
Jacques Dutronc has paid for his last tour
”, even speaks of “
Jacques farewell to the stage
”.
As for Thomas, he doesn't seem so definitive.

I'm sure he'll regret not continuing, because we (had) made him a show with little onions.
He sang wonderfully, a truly fabulous voice

Surprise comebacks are commonplace in showbiz, even at older ages.
Michel Sardou, 75 years old today, had assured the

Jacques Dutronc, he had accepted only at the request of his son to leave his musical retirement in Corsica.

The lyrics, written by Thomas, and sung with his father, are clearly inspired by the famous dilettantism of Dutronc senior.
