Twitter rival Mastodon has rejected more than five investment offers from Silicon Valley venture capital firms in recent months.
The microblogging site founded by Eugen Rochko in 2016 has recently experienced a jump in users and interest in general thanks to the acquisition of Twitter by Elon Musk.
Despite this, Rochko does not intend to take advantage of the offers received, considering the non-profit status of the company "untouchable".
In an interview with the Financial Times, Rochko explains that "Mastodon will not turn into everything that is hated on Twitter."
