Director Nicolas Winding Refn can finally show his unique signature on Netflix, namely in the thriller Copenhagen Cowboy.
The Rain star Angela Bundalovic delves deep into the criminal underworld.
The streaming service Netflix, which as the market leader is very much under suspicion of being uncool mainstream, was very proud last summer to announce its first collaboration with the former "Underground" director Nicolas Winding Refn ("Pusher" trilogy, "Drive", "Walhalla Rising ") famous.
NWR - as the fans affectionately call the Danish filmmaker - had previously presented the thriller Too Old to Die Young on Amazon Prime Video.
With the six-parter "Copenhagen Cowboy" he is now drawn back to his hometown after the last few years in America.
But he doesn't show them from their most beautiful side, but quite the opposite.
One did not want to imagine what gloomy spheres the supposedly idyllic Copenhagen has to offer.
