In the golden age of youth in which the small hours are not seen in the eyes of the following morning, adolescents like a very tired look and therefore the dark or reddish circles typical of dark circles are drawn with make-up.

Born quietly last year,

the 'tired effect' make-up trend explodes, taking the place of the previous 'smokey eye' which made the eyes blurred,

smoky and magnetic with a skilful use of eye shadows, mascara and pencils.

Now the same makeup tools but in different shades are used to

draw dark circles, bags and circled eyes

.

Fashion has exploded all over the world, from the United States to Europe to Asian countries, on TikTok, one of the most popular social networks for boys and girls.

In London

the coolest girls with (fake) dark circles

go around the city and we begin to see 'very tired' young people even in the streets of Milan.

“We like

the super rock effect which makes us more tired

, - say the most popular TikTokers, in particular Sara Carstens who on her very popular profile @saracarstens was the first to teach her followers how to create an 'ultra tired' make-up by combining fake dark circles with shaded hair with white and blue bands.

The young woman tells on TikTok that she has them by nature but that after years of concealer she realized that she shouldn't be ashamed of them and that they even gave her a more adult and cool look, so she decided to enhance them by including them in her 'makeup routine '.

The look of ultra-tired-looking girls is completed by lightening the hair, decisively eliminating all the natural melanin pigments it contains and then making it pink, white and blue.

It must be said that

generation Z uses the look to rebel against the classic canons

and, before dark circles, they cleared braces for teeth, glasses, pimples and menstruation but the trend of the moment has exploded thanks to an army of celebrities and a growing crowd of make-up artists, who draw tired eyes in videos -tutorial outlining bags and fake hoops.

The phenomenon was captured by fashion brands that sent the top models on the catwalk with their eyes full of glitter applied right on the dark circles at their autumn fashion shows.

Bags in the foreground also for the men of the latest generations

who have learned to love the lower part of their eyes, until now forgotten or shown naturally swollen.

Like the much loved actor in the USA Ben Platt who at the last Met Gala in October in New York showed up with a crystal applied right on the lower lid of his left eye.

However, the rule, for famous people over 40, is to hide them, famous or not.

There is no shortage of Italian actresses and actors with natural dark circles, such as Carolina Crescentini or Riccardo Scamarcio, considered icons of charm with a lived-in look but who certainly don't enhance the lower eyelids with make-up.

In the world, adult men and women proud to show circled eyes are very few.

With one well-known exception: one of the most loved actresses, Anna Magnani.

She is

the icon of the 'wrinkled' air

with wrinkles and dark circles worn proudly, together with uncombed hair.

Magnani, full of charm in showing herself melancholic and even tired of her, was perhaps among the few actresses to love her marks on her skin.

And for her they were true dark circles, but girls want them before the time to come, so they draw them artfully.

So while the majority of mature women use concealer and foundation to try to hide the dark circles that afflict them in the morning in front of the mirror, thanks to age, tiredness and nocturnal lymphatic stagnation,

daughters and granddaughters go for dark concealer and eyeshadows purple, blue and red to leave the house 'fake' tired.

In short, for them it is a question of designing the illusion of dark circles, many years before they will really have them and who knows if, then, they will continue to proudly show them to the world or will seek the advice of older women, experts in concealing make-up, to hide them.
