The Good Lawyer: Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman in Good Doctor spin-off

Since there seem to be far from enough series with Good in the title, The Good Doctor may soon be followed by The Good Lawyer on ABC.

The main roles have now been cast.

Stars from Nancy Drew and Desperate Housewives are there, including a scandal noodle...

Kennedy McMann, of Nancy Drew fame, is set to star in the new series The Good Lawyer, which is set to be a spin-off of The Good Doctor.

In addition, the actress Felicity Huffman, who is involved in the college bribery scandal and who many series junkies from "Desperate Housewives" should know, is also said to be involved.

There is said to be a backdoor pilot for the Law offshoot, which is to run as a test balloon in the USA on Monday, March 6th.

Co-showrunners David Shore and Liz Friedman are behind the script.

In doing so, Dr.

Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) uses legal counsel to win a case.

He chooses a promising attorney who has OCD and is played by McMann.

Said character is called Joni DeGroot, and she's a brilliant, funny, and confident attorney who's relatively new to a prestigious firm when she takes on Shaun's case.
