Andrea Bonafede, the surveyor who 'lent' his identity to Matteo Messina Denaro, was hooked up for the first time by the boss a year ago who therefore had been gravitating in the Campobello di Mazara area for at least a year.
It would therefore be around January last year, according to what Bonafede himself would have told investigators and prosecutors, that there would have been the first contact between the two.
A meeting on which, it is learned from qualified sources, the surveyor would not have provided particular details, stating only that he had been intercepted by Messina Denaro in the town.
On that occasion, Bonafede would have explained again, the boss asked him to buy the house in vicolo San Vito where he then lived until the day of his arrest.
A purchase that was completed in June 2022.
