Appointment is made at the Opéra Bastille for the new AMI show as part of Fashion Week.
For the occasion, the creator Alexandre Mattiussi offered himself this high place of spectacle, the temple of dance.
And it is on the stage that its Fall-Winter 2023 line is presented, in a deliberately sober setting to draw attention to the clothes.
The ground is fluffy, soft, as if covered with high mountain powder.
The collection, named "Prelude", suggests that it is a foretaste of a story that has only just begun for AMI, and promises to be minimalist and modern.
According to the words of the founder of the brand, it embodies the culmination of several years of quest for the ideal silhouette:
“The prelude is an introduction, the opening of a piece or an act,
he explains.
This collection is decisive for me because it has been present in my mind since the creation of AMI.
Season after season, show after show, it took me twelve years to bring it to life.
This moment, this Fall-Winter 2023 show, marks the beginning of a new chapter, for AMI as for me.

The unisex silhouettes display a panoply of oversized coats and jackets, pants, blouses and skirts in materials as supple as they are precious, such as silk, alpaca or cashmere.
Casual, the pieces contrast with others, shiny and refined, designed for Parisian evenings.
In terms of colors, Alexandre Mattiussi relies on a neutral, poetic and harmonious palette.
Authentic locker room and prestigious clan
The whites, beiges or blues contribute to the reinterpretation of an authentic, familiar and sophisticated wardrobe:
“AMI's winter is lighter,”
confides Alexandre Mattiussi.
The materials, colors and cuts are all very soft, fluid – I would even say almost romantic.

In the front row, the prestigious AMI clan is present: Pierre Niney, Catherine Deneuve, Carla Bruni, Xavier Dolan, Noah Schnapp or even Usher... as on the catwalk where models with heterogeneous profiles parade like Amber Valletta, Scott Barnhill and Marie-Sophie Wilson.
To close the show, it is the actress Charlotte Rampling, phlegmatic and eternally elegant, who wanders around to finally leave the space in the dark, giving way to a live performance by American singer Moses Sumney.
