Today, the Faculty of Mass Communication at Damascus University and Academia for Training and Consultation signed a cooperation agreement to hold training workshops, targeting graduates of media in various specializations, graduates of other relevant institutes and colleges, workers and individuals wishing to acquire specific expertise and skills in this field.

According to the agreement signed by Dr. Baraa Shuqair, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication at the University of Damascus, and Alissar Hamad, Executive Director of the Academy for Training and Consultation, the training workshops will be held in the Faculty of Mass Communication and include the art of radio and television presentation, radio directing, photography, television directing and montage, news analysis, opinion programs, radio and television dialogue, and investigative journalism. And television reporting in contemporary journalism, graphic design and television economic journalism, television sports journalism and writing for digital media.

Dr. Choucair explained that the agreement includes 16 training workshops to support practical and applied skills for media graduates in all specialties, and facilitate their entry into the labor market, pointing to the continuous need for media graduates to develop their skills in the applied field, as the college provides theoretical and some practical aspects, but the graduate needs more. In terms of application in the field of media work, keep abreast of developments in this field.

In turn, the Executive Director of the Academy for Training and Consulting stressed the importance of cooperation and partnership with Damascus University, especially with the Faculty of Mass Communication, in order to support graduates with the expertise and skills necessary for work, as well as those wishing to acquire media experiences from non-graduates, especially from technical institutes and private universities, indicating that the workshops will be in coordination With the office of practicing the profession in the college, with a very well-studied and supported investment value, serving the largest percentage of graduates and linking them to the labor market.

Hamad indicated that the institution is licensed by the Ministry of Administrative Development, and is concerned with providing specialized vocational training programs, providing human, financial and economic resources consultations and individual consultations in establishing medium, small and micro businesses, and serving companies, commercial establishments and economic investment.
