ANSA continues with its strategy of strengthening and expanding its international presence: in recent days, the top management of the Agency went to Japan and South Korea, where they met the main news agencies and local newspapers.

The two Italian ambassadors in their respective countries and senior representatives of the two embassies took part in the various meetings.

During the Tokyo meeting with the Kyodo News Agency - which took place in the presence of the Italian Ambassador in Japan, Gianluigi Benedetti, and the Deputy General Commissioner for the Italian participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, Elena Sgarbi - they were identified various areas of collaboration in support of the communication activities of the Italian Pavilion at the EXPO in Osaka in 2025. At the same time, the possibilities of expanding the collaboration already in place between the two Agencies were also explored to include projects of a commercial nature.

Ambassador Benedetti expressed satisfaction with the results of this meeting: "The deepening of the already excellent collaboration between ANSA and Kyodo News will offer an important contribution to the

further strengthening of relations between Italy and Japan, elevated during the recent meeting in Rome between Prime Minister Meloni and Prime Minister Kishida to a 'strategic partnership'.

The media and informational dimension of the bilateral relationship is in fact fundamental to bring the two countries even closer by promoting an even deeper mutual understanding between our peoples.

In this perspective, I am very satisfied with the collaboration started by ANSA and the Commissioner's Office for the Italian Pavilion at EXPO Osaka 2025 with Kyodo, which will allow, on the one hand, to better tell here in Japan the excellence and extraordinary realities that Italy will present at the next edition of the Universal Exposition and, on the other hand,

Summit meetings were also held in Tokyo with the publishers of the Asahi Shimbun and the Nikkei Shimbun, again in the presence of senior representatives of the Italian Embassy in Tokyo.

During the Seoul meetings between ANSA and Yonhap - attended by the Italian Ambassador to South Korea Federico Failla - the foundations were laid for a strengthening of the collaboration already underway between the two Agencies in some areas of common interest .

"The meeting between the main Italian press agency ANSA and the Korean one Yonhap - declared Ambassador Failla - is a symptom of the ongoing strengthening of bilateral relations between Italy and South Korea, and particularly relevant in a historical phase such as the current one in which quality communication is essential for the success of any enterprise, not only political and economic, but also in the fields of science, technology and culture. We live in the era of the search for 'true' and reliable information,

in the face of the multiplication of fake news from all the media.

I trust that this collaboration, already started in 2015, will find new outlet channels and constitute a point of reference also for companies that intend to move to the two countries".

The CEO of ANSA, Stefano De Alessandri, said he was very satisfied with the results of these meetings: "The collaboration agreement that we are negotiating with Kyodo News for the promotion of the Italian presence at Expo 2025 in Osaka will be an important result for ANSA and more generally for our country system. Both the one with Kyodo and the one with Yonhap are two historic partnerships for ANSA, with which we have been collaborating for a long time and with great satisfaction; an expansion of these partnerships also to other areas constitutes a further important result of our work to strengthen ANSA's presence in the world and in particular in the Far East".
