(ANSA) - TEL AVIV, 03 FEB - A Palestinian was killed in the afternoon near the military checkpoint of Hawara near Nablus in the West Bank.
The Wafa agency reports it, explaining that "he died after being shot by the Israeli occupation army".
Wafa has identified the Palestinian as Abdullah Samih Kalalwa (25 years old) originally from Jenin.
Israel Military Radio said "the man rushed at the soldiers ignoring their warning shots in the air and then he tried to get hold of a military weapon. Then he was shot."
The same source added that "the man was unarmed".
