Berlin – The current economic situation – caused by the Ukraine conflict escalating into war and inflation in Germany – is causing problems for many companies.
The chocolate manufacturer "chocri", based in Berlin, must also cease operations on April 30, 2023.
The GmbH, which belongs to the Rübezahl-Riegelein Group, is best known for its individualized chocolate products.

The situation for manufacturers has seemed difficult for some time now.
The Salzburg-Schokolade company, Austria’s best-known confectionery manufacturer, went bankrupt as early as 2021.
In July 2022, the praline manufacturer Leysieffer from Osnabrück filed for bankruptcy just two years after the new start.
Now the chocolate manufacturer "chocri" reports the end.

"We very much regret the withdrawal from the rather small-scale chocri business, but due to future challenges we want to concentrate fully on our high-volume core business," announced chocri Managing Director Sascha Löhr in a company press release.
The trademark rights of "chocri" are therefore to remain in the Rübezahl-Riegelein Group.

The group, which is based in Dettingen unter Teck in Baden-Württemberg and in Cadolzburg in Bavaria, says it has around 1,500 employees in six plants and produces around 50,000 tons of chocolate products and confectionery.
The range includes the brands Riegelein, Sun Rice, Friedel, Gubor, Eichetti and Fanshop Sweets.
Good news for chocolate lovers, however, is that dark chocolate can lower high cholesterol.

Wirtschaftswoche in 2009.
Seven employees are affected by the closure of the company.
In the press release, the chocolate manufacturer cites the current economic situation in the customized premium chocolate business as the reason for the cessation of operations.
