Thanks to Rihanna, the Super Bowl 2023 broke audience records.
The final of the American football tournament between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs was held at State Farm Stadium, Arizona, on Sunday February 12.
According to the Fox Sports channel, the game attracted more than 113 million viewers on the various channels (Fox and Fox Deportes, dedicated to the Hispanic community) and Fox network streaming, thus offering “the best Super Bowl audience
in six years”
.
But if the meeting broke all audience records, it is thanks to Rihanna, watched at halftime by 118.7 million viewers.
On her own, and in just 13 minutes, the singer managed to bring in an additional 5 million viewers.
In 2015, Katy Perry's
"halftime show"
attracted 118.5 million viewers, peaking at 120.3 million at the end of the show.
The record for the most watched performance of all time narrowly escapes Rihanna, who finds herself on the second step of the podium.
Red lipstick and matching sporty jumpsuit, Rihanna, whose last gig dates back to 2016, was able to perform her biggest hits:
Rude Boy

Many personalities congratulated the star on the networks.
“Rih has so many killer tracks!!!!”
exclaimed basketball player LeBron James on his Twitter account.
With this big comeback on the music scene, fans were hoping for “Riri” to announce a new album.
They are disappointed so far.
A tour is also not on the program since during her performance at the Super Bowl, the singer revealed that she was pregnant with her second child.
Fans will have to be patient before finding their idol on stage.
