(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 15 - Giulia Schiff got married in Ukraine, stopped fighting and has now founded a humanitarian association with her husband, also a former soldier.
The 24-year-old Italian, who had enlisted with Kiev's troops since the beginning of the war, fought in various territories, from Donbass to Karkhiv, but has now founded a charity to support the militias.
The young Venetian former pilot, who in Italy a few years earlier as a student of the Pozzuoli Academy had denounced that she had been a victim of mobbing and hazing, she says she is satisfied with her experience and with her new life.
Giulia, known as 'Kida', is in Dnipro, where she now lives with Victor, a 29-year-old Israeli-Ukrainian who she had met last May in the Foreign Legion and whom she married yesterday in a civil marriage.
"He had to stop for health reasons, due to the damage suffered from the pressure of the bombs in various episodes. To be close to him, in November I gave up everything and went back to him - she explains -. But we have not stopped going to the front.
