A good three and a half years after the death of a diabetic student on a class trip, the Mönchengladbach district court has rejected the opening of main proceedings against two teachers.
A court spokesman said on Friday.
The public prosecutor had accused the two teachers of negligent homicide by omission because they had reacted too late to the 13-year-old's health problems.
According to the court, the teachers violated their supervisory duties in several respects.
However, this was not the cause of the girl's death, because due to the overall circumstances, a medical emergency indication could not be determined with certainty, at least for a layperson.
The student died in 2019 during a class trip to London.
