A devastating fire has developed in Watamu, along one of the Kenyan beaches frequented by Italian tourists.
In particular, the Italian resort Barracuda was affected by the flames, with customers who fled in time trying to recover their belongings.
The Italian Embassy in Nairobi, through the honorary consulate in Malindi and in coordination with the Farnesina Crisis Unit, is closely following the evolution of the situation.
At the moment there are no casualties reported.
