(ANSA) - TEL AVIV, FEBRUARY 22 - The new toll of Palestinians killed in armed clashes with the Israeli army during a military operation in Nablus in the West Bank is 10.
This was reported by the local health ministry, quoted by Wafa, according to which the number of injured has exceeded 102 and of which 7 are in serious condition.
The operation carried out by the Israeli army today in Nablus was ordered "to neutralize three wanted men involved in armed attacks in Judea-Samaria (West Bank, ed), who were planning other attacks in the immediate future".
This was reported in a joint statement by the Israeli army and Shin Bet, the internal security service.
Two of the wanted men - Hussam Assalim and Walid Dachil - were members of the local Nablus faction known as the 'Lion Pit'.
The third wanted man - Muhammad Ala' Fatah - was a member of Islamic Jihad.
