(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, FEBRUARY 24 - "We are concerned by the challenges Moldova is facing. It is a close NATO ally, we have signed an agreement to strengthen our partnership and we have decided to support the development of tailor-made defense capabilities to help the country. We welcome the efforts to support it also from our allies, single or in EU format. It is important to support as soon as possible the most vulnerable countries in the face of aggression".
This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg when answering a question at a press conference on Russian threats to Moldova's sovereignty.
