Why wrap the security lock of the door with a towel and what is the first thing to do when entering the hotel room? A flight attendant tells about creative ways to avoid unpleasant situations. Wow! tourism

How do you break into a hotel safe?

(@user-tc3uv7fm6k)

A flight attendant named Sissy uploaded a video to Tiktok in which she shares a trick in which she uses a towel to keep herself safe in hotels - especially in hotels that might be a little shady.

In fact, this trick is just one of several tricks she uses whenever she arrives at a hotel for work, helping her sleep soundly.

For example, she suggests that guests arriving at a new hotel identify and remember the emergency doors that lead to the emergency exits or to the stairwells.

This is to deal quickly and efficiently with emergency situations, such as fires or other situations where a power outage occurs.

What's more: she even suggests being careful and counting the number of doors from your room to the emergency exit, in order to succeed and escape when the entire space is dark or shrouded in smoke.

I have raised my daughters the same way.

Who is hiding in the closet?

Later, she suggests doing something that might seem a little strange: immediately upon entering the room, you should peek into the bathroom and open the closets, to make sure that no one is hiding in the room.

And after you have marked all these with a "V", Sissy recommends another "layer of protection" - and this is where the towel comes into the picture.

Sissy says that she takes a small towel from the bathroom and wraps it around the safety lock of the door to which the door opening card is attached.

This is due to the fact that burglars can easily overcome the security lock from the outside, by using a cut piece of cardboard.

By the way, the towel trick can also be performed on the normal safety lock of the door, regardless of your key card.

Sissy suggests doing this as an additional measure of protection, to make sure that it will not be possible to force the door open.

She then closes the closure wrapped in a towel, which will make it difficult to open.

"As an air hostess, I find myself in hotel rooms 100-120 times a year and I've already seen quite a few things," she says in one of her videos.

"I'm not scared and I'm not paranoid, I'm just taking preventive action." She then demonstrates additional security methods, including using a pair of hangers to prevent the door from being broken into the room and being equipped with a portable personal alarm system that produces blinding lights and loud siren sounds.

room service?

Don't believe it

Sisi also avoids opening the door to strangers.

"If someone knocks on the door and says they are from the hotel staff but you haven't ordered anything, you should call the front desk," she suggests, and includes in this category people who present themselves as room service or security personnel.

And in general, she also suggests tucking a small tissue into the eyelet of the door, to prevent peeking inside.

The Daily Mail website reports that there were many reactions to Sisi's video, and quite a few commenters provided their own tips.

For example, one of the surfers wrote: "I put all kinds of things in front of the door to make sure that there will be a big noise if someone tries to open it from the outside."

Another commenter added: "Always check the window locks as well. One time I was staying on the ground floor and discovered that they were not locked."

And another commenter, who also identified herself as a flight attendant, suggested: "When you leave the room, you should tuck the 'do not disturb' sign firmly between the door and the frame. When you return,
