Saturday evening in downtown Bremen: Six underage boy scouts were in the process of carving signs into a house wall behind a police station when officers became aware of them via video surveillance.
When the emergency services arrived on site, two of the suspects, aged eleven to 14, fled.
Three others were found, including an eleven-year-old.
The latter suddenly held a knife in front of a police officer's chest, but was quickly brought to the ground and overpowered.
Suspect is not criminally responsible
The police officer and the boy were unharmed.
Knives were found and confiscated from the eleven-year-old and two other boy scouts from the group.
The police are now investigating the attack on law enforcement officials, threats and property damage.
However, the eleven-year-old is not yet of criminal age, the limit is 14 years.
The boy was handed over to his parents.
The legal guardians were informed and they were offered further talks and support, according to the police.
