(ANSA) - NEW YORK, MARCH 08 - "No decision has been taken on the speed of rate hikes. The Fed's decisions will be guided by data and the evolution of" economic prospects.
This was stated by Fed Chairman Jerome Powell in his second day of congressional hearings.
In Senatoieri Powell had feared the possibility of an acceleration of the increases to fight inflation by sinking the stock markets.
“The Fed is not one on a predefined path,” Powell adds to the House.
