The police intervened in the place de la Concorde, in Paris, where demonstrators had flocked by the thousands to protest against the pension reform that the government has passed by avoiding the vote and posing the question of trust.
The police carried out a series of charges to push the demonstrators to clear the square.

The president makes use of the article of the Constitution which allows not to go through the vote of the National Assembly.
The reform is now law, provided there is no distrust.
Voting takes place on Monday.
