(ANSA) - ROME, 04 APR - In Italy it is estimated that 336,000 children and adolescents between the ages of 7 and 15 - equal to 6.8%, almost 1 child out of 15 - have had work experience.
And 27.8% of 14-15 year olds (58,000 adolescents) who claim to have had work experience, have carried out jobs that are harmful to their schooling and psychophysical well-being.
This is what emerges from a survey by Save the Children, there are still many boys and girls involved in work activities before the legally permitted age (16 years) .
Among 14-15 year olds, 1 in 5 are working or have worked and, among the latter, more than one in 10 started working at age 11 or earlier.
