Hubert von Goisern goes on his "New Times - Old Times" tour and stops on June 16th, 2023 at Munich's Königsplatz.

The musician also announces two new albums.

When this press conference is almost over on Monday morning (April 3rd, 2023), Hubert von Goisern is asked about future projects and answers with these two sentences: "I hope that there are still things that are waiting for me.

But I don't know anything about them until now." It's quite possible that it's exactly this openness and curiosity of the 70-year-old that makes his music exciting again and again.

Because just as the artist allows himself to be surprised, so he surprises his audience.

At a concert by the Austrian you just know that you don't know what to expect.

"I always have more songs on the list than we can manage in time." Leiwand.

Nevertheless, there are now a few facts that are certain: Hubert Achleitner, born in 1952 in Goisern in Upper Austria, starts his tour "New Signs - Old Signs" on May 18th, 2023 and stops at Munich's Königsplatz on June 16th, 2023;

it will be the biggest performance of this trip.

The wild Bavarian band Pam Pam Ida performs together with the Silberfischorchester as supporting act.

"I'm very excited and looking forward to it," says von Goisern.

The Königsplatz will be seated;

the advance sale is already running.

Eight years ago, the musician, who practically invented alpine rock with the Original Alpinkatzen in the 1980s and has since toured many styles, countries and genres, played on Königsplatz for the last time.

For this year's performance, he promises to look back on his work - and look ahead.

By the way, his double album "Derweil II", which will be released in May 2023 and review the past 15 years, is also about a retrospective.

At the same time, a recording of his concert, which he gave last year in the Salzburg Festival Hall, will be released.

The performance was also filmed - negotiations are currently underway with BR and ORF about broadcasting it.

Hubert von Goisern: "Change is life"

Hubert von Goisern understands the tour motto (“We play songs that have survived and are still up to date”) as well as the title of his studio album “Zeiten &zeichen” (2020) quite politically: “The new times didn’t just come to us since Corona and under control after the outbreak of war.” He recalls a conversation he had with British researcher Jane Goodall in the 1990s: “She said back then that humanity was on a steamer that was going in the wrong direction.

We don't have much time left to change course.” The “global solidarity” that is necessary in view of the many crises overwhelms many people – or they have lost it, he concludes.

"But that's exactly what we need now.

Otherwise it will be really bad." Nevertheless, he remains optimistic: "I am convinced that

that humanity has the resources to change.” Of course, von Goisern concedes, everyone would sometimes regret that a lot of things aren't the same as they used to be.

“But change is life.” As an artist, he is particularly aware of this – not just since he published his debut novel “Fluchtig” three years ago, which immediately became a bestseller.

It's possible that, despite his "respect for literature," he'll work on a new book once the concerts are over.

"After this tour it's over.

When I make music, a novel is out of the question.”
