(ANSA) - ROME, 05 APR - Animals, nature, metamorphoses and their feelings are the leitmotif of the 66th edition of the Festival of the two worlds of Spoleto, presented today in Rome at the Ministry of Culture.

More than 60 shows as always in the sign of the declination of the arts in 17 days and 11 venues with national and absolute premieres that see over 500 artists from 30 companies on stage.

The curtain in the Umbrian town rises on 23 June in Piazza del Duomo with the orchestra of the Accademia di Santa Cecilia conducted by Jakub Janacek to close on 9 July in the same square on the notes of Gustav Mahler with the same orchestra conducted this time by Antonio Pappano.

For the opera in the foreground Pelleas et Melisande by Claude Debussy which bears the signature of Ivan Fisher who brings everyone to the stage.


    Many Italian voices for the theater, with the directorial debut of Luca Marinelli and the return of Silvio Orlando in Ciarlatani.
