"For those who repeat imprudent behavior behind the wheel, the suspension of the license is not enough. As far as I'm concerned, you no longer see the license because it is human to err but persevering, in these cases is fatal": said the Minister of Infrastructure Matteo Salvini in Castrocielo on the occasion of the inauguration of the first Safety Point on the Italian motorway network.
The minister recalled that in 2022 there were 3,120 deaths on the roads "concentrated on the weekend: there is a share of imprudence, however the majority is due to distraction, often linked to the use of the mobile phone while driving".
