increases in certain

These increases were published in the Federal Register on March 28 and will take effect on May 30, 2023.

Other types of visas
The fee for certain types of petition-based nonimmigrant visas for temporary workers (categories H, L, O, P, Q, and R) will increase from $190 to $205.
Fees for treaty trade (E-1) traders, treaty trade investors (E-2), and treaty applicants in a special occupation (E-3) will increase from $205 to $315.
Fees for nonimmigrant visas are established based on the actual cost of providing the services, and are decided after conducting a study of the cost of these services.
The Department reportedly uses an activity-based methodology to annually calculate the cost of providing consular services, including visa services.
The fees for most nonimmigrant visas that are not petition-based were last updated in 2012, and some other nonimmigrant visa fees were last updated in 2014.
"The Department of State is committed to facilitating legitimate travel to the United States for both immigrant and non-immigrant travelers," it noted.
