(ANSA) - ROME, 06 APR - Sweden could soon become a member of NATO, despite the opposition of Turkey and Hungary.
This was stated by Jens Stoltenberg, secretary of the transatlantic military alliance, in an interview with CNN, the first since Finland became a new member of the group.
"I am confident that Sweden will become a member, also because all NATO allies, including Turkey, have invited Sweden to become a member at our Madrid summit," the NATO secretary general said.
