Lionsgate+ and Starzplay have been history for a short time.
Then comes the news that MGM+ International is getting a relaunch and has signed a content deal with Lionsgate.
Accordingly, some licenses migrate to the Amazon channel.
If you were wondering where the content ended up after Lionsgate+ ended, you can take a look at MGM+ International, because there a content deal was closed for Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands, the series and films from Lionsgate and to include Starz.
The pay-TV channel Epix has already become the new brand MGM+ in the USA, and now it's going internationally with the subsidiary of Amazon.
Anyone interested in the content will pay EUR 3.99 a month plus Prime Video fees.
"Following the relaunch of MGM+ in the US earlier in the year, we saw subscriber growth," said Chris Brearton, VP Prime Video Studios Corporate Strategy.
"Now, MGM's international streaming services will follow suit, re-launching as MGM+ International in select countries where we are making further investments in content to leverage the strength of the iconic brand and accelerate our growth as a premium international streaming service."
