(ANSA) - NEW YORK, APRIL 07 - "Today's expulsion in Tennessee of lawmakers engaged in peaceful protests is shocking, undemocratic and unprecedented."
US President Joe Biden said this after Republicans voted to oust two Democratic (African American) state deputies who participated in a protest against arms following the Nashville massacre.
"Rather than discussing the merits of the matter they chose to punish, silence and expel duly elected representatives of the people," he added.
