Jennifer Lopez has launched her own Italian-inspired alcohol brand, Delola, but the news has been met with strong criticism from fans who have noted that the actress does not drink, and therefore is hardly credible.
Not to mention her husband Ben Afflecj's alcohol problems who ended up in rehab several times.
"More and more I realize the importance of enjoying life - says JLo in a video on Instagram to advertise the product - I just wanted to create something tastier, with better ingredients, something I would like to drink with my friends and the my family and this is Delola."
Lopez, who founded the brand with beverage industry veterans Ken Austin and Jenna Fagnan and her manager Benny Medina, explained that this project has been in the works for two years and Lola is a nickname that shows her "more playful and carefree".
"Sure it's about business and money, but it seems really phony that he's promoting an alcohol brand when he talks a lot about the fact that alcohol is bad for your skin and therefore it's not part of his lifestyle," commented a fan of the 'actress.
"Capitalism strikes back," wrote another, and yet another said, "Why not create a soft drink brand considering you've said over and over that you don't drink?"
