This changes nothing for you.

It lures the eternal ice.

Perhaps we all have a very euphemistic image of the North and South Poles in our heads.

The vastness, the white, now and then a polar bear.

How nice it could be to spend a few days there with a dog sled.

You can't just sit on an airplane.

There is also not a café every few kilometers where you can warm up.

Everything has to fit on the sled.

Whether cooking utensils or everything for the night camp.

And that at high minus temperatures.

"Into the eternal ice!" tells of this exhausting journey.

But if you are planning a journey into the eternal ice, this book is just right for you.

It deals with all questions that may arise in the run-up to the considerations and preparations for such an adventure and gives valuable tips for planning the project successfully and surviving it.

The book tells the story of Marek Kaminski, who became the first person to walk to both the North and South Poles in one calendar year.

A nearly 1000 kilometer long march into the eternal ice.

At up to minus 50 degrees.

All the luggage – from the tent to the toothbrush – on a 120-kilo sled.

Despite all the hardships, we keep going to our destination: the Pole.

The Polish adventurer Marek Kaminski accomplished this almost unbelievable feat twice: In the same year he reached both the North Pole and the South Pole, completely on his own.

This is unique to this day!

Cover text / Gerstenberg

The book is structured like a diary and is not written by Kaminski himself, but from the third narrative perspective.

The short episodes also make it easy to read for those who otherwise struggle with longer texts and reading.

The illustrations are designed like comic drawings and come in the colors white, black, blue and orange.

Both the text and the illustrations captivate the readers and leave them amazed, shuddering or shaking their heads again and again.

The book is an absolute recommendation for children, teenagers and adults who love true and realistic adventure stories.
