(ANSA) - MILAN, 12 APR - Two workers died this morning in Noverasco di Opera (Milan) due to the collapse of an aerial platform used during pruning work.
A third was seriously injured.
This was communicated by 118 and the firefighters who are on site with the ambulance and other means.
According to preliminary information, the three involved are all workers, whose personal details are not yet known.
They were working on the pruning of tall trees, and for this reason they were on an aerial platform several meters above the ground, in a basket supported by a mechanical arm, which crashed to the ground for reasons yet to be ascertained.
The accident, the firefighters explained, took place inside the 'Le Rovedine' golf club a few minutes before 10 in via Marx 16. The firefighters had to disengage the injured person from the remains of the platform.
Then the 118 transported him in code red to the Milanese hospital of Niguarda.
For the other two, however, the rescuers could not help but note the death.
