For EliasN97, a change to the twitch competition Kick is probably out of the question.

The star streamer has spoken out clearly against the new streaming platform.

Berlin – EliasN97 has no interest in leaving Twitch any time soon.

Like many other streamers of his caliber, the Berlin Twitch star was recently confronted with the question of whether he was planning to switch to the new streaming provider Kick.

He took the question as an opportunity not only to eliminate rumors about his change.

"Eligella" also shared his clear opinion on Kick as a competitor for Twitch.

EliasN97: No kick change in prospect - the streamer is not about money

No change for 10 million euros either:

EliasN97 made it quite clear to his fans how he feels about a change to Kick.

The question from the community wasn't just if he would join Kick.

A fan asked if he would consider the €10m move.

But even with such a hefty sum, it remains a clear "

no

" for the streamer.

Elias Nerlich recently disclosed his high income, but 10 million euros would also be a decent sum for a Twitch star like him.

There's a little more to his dislike of kick.

EliasN97 let its viewers know this directly in the stream.

EliasN97: Kick is not a serious competitor for Twitch

That's why EliasN97 wouldn't switch:

The streamer sees Kick as nothing more than "a copy of Twitch", it's literally the same thing in green.

In fact, Kick and Twitch have pretty much the same website layout, but Kick gets away with the copy of Amazon's model — after all, Twitch hasn't filed any patents on the site layout.

EliasN97 thinks that's pretty clever in itself, after all it would make it easier for other fans to get started.

Who founded Kick?

Up until December 2022, it was still a common assumption that gambling streamer Trainwreckstv had a hand in founding Kick.

The speculation went so far that Trainwreck had to clean up the rumors himself in a lengthy tweet.

It is now known that Kick is owned by EasyGo Entertainment, whose founders were involved in founding stake.com.

Eligella also thinks that the idea that Twitch will have a monopoly position as a streaming provider is definitely correct.

In his eyes, however, Kick chooses the wrong approach and the wrong content.

In our interview with EliasN97 we already addressed Kick as a twitch competition, in the live stream he made his position clear again:

Competition is always good, but it's reasonable - not just any site that runs any porn streams or anything like that."

Kick has been the subject of regular criticism lately.

Not only is the platform very generous in dealing with the content of the live streams and also allows controversial gambling.

Some streamers also use Kick's lax guidelines to incite violence against specific groups of people.

The desire for a reasonable competitor to Twitch is great, but as EliasN97 says: it should just be a reasonable alternative.
