,
Pub
and
Le Journal du Luxe
, has acquired the biographical dictionary of French personalities, the "
Who's Who in France
”.
“Long before the sudden death of Antoine Hebrard, the editor and recognized director of
“
Who's Who
”
, which occurred on March 13, I entered into discussions with him and we were to communicate this news together, a month ago.
I wished, out of respect for him and his family, to move the date of this announcement
, ”said Franck Papazian on Wednesday.
Launched in 1953 by publisher Jacques Lafitte, the "
Who's Who
" is updated every year.
Distributed in 5,000 copies, this unique directory lists approximately 22,000 French personalities from all walks of life.
“After the success of the specialist press division that I created in 2017 with the acquisition of CBNews, Stratégies, Pub (in Belgium), my group AdMediaGroup acquired the Journal du luxe and has a stake in Loopsider (8%).
We are thus present in “
niche
”
and dynamic
sectors
,” Franck Papazian told Le
Figaro
.
“
Today my ambition is to create a new media center of influence, and the takeover of
“
Who's Who in France
”
will open the doors of this ecosystem to us.”
At the head of a group with 95 million euros in turnover, Franck Papazian launched a process to sell Mediaschool (about sixty schools, two continuing education centers in 15 cities in France and 4 in 'international) created in 2002.
"We are in the process of studying the proposals, only coming from investment funds and the closing should take place before the summer
", he indicates.
