(55), published a post on her Instagram page yesterday (Wednesday) with a message from the star's family, in which they update that the actor experienced a medical complication and is currently recovering.
"The Fox family would like to share that my father, Jamie Fox, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Fortunately, thanks to quick action and great care, he is on the road to recovery," the statement read, and continued: "We know how much he is loved and appreciate your prayers. The family Requesting privacy during this time."
The TMZ website reported that the actor suffered a medical emergency on Tuesday morning and was taken to the hospital.
The actor's condition was so serious that his family, some of whom were out of town, were called to the hospital.
A source told the website that "he is calling now, and this is good news."
These days Fox was working on his new movie in Atlanta,

It is not yet known what complication he suffered from and what his condition is now, and whether he will even be able to return to complete the filming for the film.
